Our Story
Learning Little People is an African American- and woman-owned education consulting firm, founded in 2013 and led by Dr. Erica Jewel Littleton. With a strong foundation in instructional leadership, strategic planning, and school improvement, Dr. Littleton leads LLP in its mission to empower educators, strengthen learning communities, and drive student success. Committed to creating meaningful, lasting change, LLP partners with schools, districts, and community organizations to develop data-driven strategies that improve outcomes for both educators and students.
The LLP team is made up of dedicated problem solvers, strategic thinkers, master facilitators, passionate advocates, and inventive coaches who bring diverse expertise in areas such as instructional leadership, special education, social-emotional learning, mental health, and community engagement. Together, we help schools and organizations overcome challenges, close opportunity gaps, and achieve their most important goals. While we serve a variety of clients, our passion lies in supporting schools, districts, and public institutions that uplift students and strengthen communities.

Erica Jewel Littleton, Ph.D., NBCT

Dr. Erica Jewel Littleton is a National Board Certified Teacher dedicated advocate for urban education reform. With over 19 years of experience in education and more than a decade of edupreneurial leadership, she has successfully led transformative school improvement initiatives. Notably, she oversaw a $1.7 million grant that significantly improved student outcomes, earning recognition for her results-driven leadership. Dr. Littleton’s expertise in instructional leadership, strategic planning, and professional development continues to drive Learning Little People’s mission to transform education and empower school communities.
